A non profit making organization CONNAK Foundation hosted it’s
Children’s Fun Paradise program in Umuahia the Abia State capital.
The two-way program selected December 30 and 31 provided fun for children in living Umuahia and it’s environs to make the Christmas celebration memorable for them.
Although 1000 children were expected to turn up on the first day of the program, over 2000 showed up, says the General Manager, Connak Foundation, Rosemary Etsiame said the Foundation.
City Times reports that over 3000 kids are targeted to be entertained with several fun games found in most advanced cities and counties in the world, including swimming, bubble balloon fights, balloon house games, and mascots including spiderman, mickey mouse, and batman, among others.
Etsiame said the Foundation has been involved in children issues for over eleven years and that the Fun Paradise is an initiative towards child development.
“We want to give to the children social inclusiveness”, she said noting that Umuahia is devoid of amusement parks for children, hence the need to make them to also feel the belonging and to feel physically what the see in films.
She said the event that is now an annual event, has no class interference in terms of sex, age or any social conditions adding that the 25th day of every year is celebrated as Founder’s Day and where beneficiaries of the Foundation’s entrepreneural trainings are also graduated.
She advise the children that they can achieve whatever they focus their mind, urging them to be obedient to their parents and guardians.
The general manager pointed out that 2023 skills acquisition graduands numbering over 392 will soon be passed out as the Foundation celebrates its 11th year milestone during the founder’s birthday next month.
