The immediate past minister of state for mines and steel development, chief Uche Ogah, has denied speculations that he had dumped the All Progressive Congress, for the Peoples Democratic party, after losing his bid to clinch the APC governorship ticket in Abia State at the supreme Court.
Ogah, who stated this in Umuahia the State capital on Sunday also urged his supporters to vote for the APC Presidential Candidate, Ahmed Bola Tinubu, and other APC candidates in the State.
He pointed out he was the first person to congratulate the APC governorship candidate in the State chief Ikechi Emenike, when the Supreme Court declared him the winner of the legal battle of the APC governorship ticket.
He said, “We have the largest political structure in Abia state. No governorship candidate can win election in Abia without our structure”.
“However neither Emenike nor any other person vying for the office of the governor has approached us for support, I urge our members to vote for the APC presidential candidate and members of our Abia rejoice structure vying National and State Assembly seats.
“This time around your vote will count, so vote for our people because we have the capacity to deliver Abia from its present state of quagmire”.
Ogah, also called for proper management of petroleum subsidy in the country, adding that removing the subsidy will make the masses to suffer more.
He commended the federal government under President Mohamadu Buhari, for introducing the cashless policy, adding that it has reduced many vices in the country including kidnapping and armed robbery.
