Abia NUJ Council Exco, pays courtesy Visit to President Vision Africa Radion

The President, Vision Africa, Bishop Sunday Onuoha says he will continue to partner the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in developing the media industry in the state.
Bishop Onuoha who stated this when the Executive of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Abia State Council paid him a courtesy visit in his office said he has been working with the NUJ to ensure a peaceful atmosphere for the journalism practice in the state.
He noted that the independence of the media will guarantee a better a society pointing out that the annual “Media Training” being organized by the Vision Africa was to build the next generation of media professionals.
He expressed optimism that the NUJ Permanent Secretariat will be among the legacy projects of Governor Alex Otti before leaving office and commended the Governor for turning things around for better in the state.
Speaking earlier, the state Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Abia State Council Comrade Chidi Asonye said they came to appreciate Bishop Onuoha for his contributions and positive impact in the growth of the Media Industry in the state and the country in general and to solicit his continued partnership with Abia NUJ in the training and retraining of Abia Journalists.
Comrade Asonye described NUJ as partners in progress in the development of the State and stressed the need for the completion of the Abia NUJ Permanent Secretariat to give Journalists a sense of belonging in the State.
In a vote of thanks, the state Secretary, NUJ Abia State Council Comrade Ikechukwu Onuegbu thanked Bishop Onuoha for his fatherly advice and words of encouragement and expressed optimism that the visit will further cement the relationship between him and Abia NUJ .
