A philanthropist and businessman chief Chimaobi Anyaso, has empowered 100 women traders with a sum of two hundred thousand only in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.
Speaking during the program on Friday Anyaso said gesture was
move to cushion the effects of the current economic realities among pretty traders in rural areas.
The business man who was represented by the Director General of the Chima Anyaso Foundation,
Ezeogo Emeka Onuoha emphasized that the funds are a direct response to the “prevailing economic hardships” facing the nation.

He said, “This financial assistance is intended to enhance your businesses and support your families.
“We urge every recipient to utilize these funds judiciously to ensure long-term sustainability.”
The disbursement has been praised for its transparency and immediate impact.
Also speaking the Peoples Democratic party chairman in the Local Government Chief Ihechi Phillips, took a swipe at “empty promises” in politics, noting that unlike some who issue “audio” bank cards that fail at the point of withdrawal, Anyaso’s foundation provides tangible, accessible capital.
Also Pastor Okechukwu Dike, a PDP Chieftain described the intervention as a sign that “it is indeed Ofuji’s time,” urging constituents to remember this benevolence during the 2027 elections.
The Women leader of the Ofuji Movement, Mrs Arisa Okparigbo pledged the continued civic support of the women’s bloc.
The February outreach marks the second major empowerment drive by the Chima Anyaso Foundation in 2026. On January 1st, the foundation kicked off the year by gifting ₦500,000 and ₦250,000 respectively to youths and distinguished individuals across Bende.
As the 2027 election cycle approaches, Dr. Anyaso’s consistent “grassroots-first” strategy appears to be consolidating his influence in the Green Chamber race, positioning him as a formidable advocate for economic resilience in his constituency.
The event served as a rare point of convergence for the Bende Federal Constituency’s often fractured political landscape.
Dignitaries and community leaders from five major political parties—ADC, APC, Labour Party, PDP, and YPP—were in attendance, signaling a cross-party appreciation for Anyaso’s humanitarian efforts
