Anyaso Joins Abia State Government in Celebrating Uwanna’s Elevation to SAN
The former Deputy Governorship Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) in the 2023 general elections, Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso, has joined the Abia State Government, led by Governor Alex Otti, in celebrating the elevation of the state’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barr. Ikechukwu Uwanna, to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
Speaking at a high-profile event held in Abuja to honour Uwanna’s elevation, Dr. Anyaso described the Attorney General as “a thoroughbred gentleman who has consistently demonstrated capacity, competence, and commitment to justice.”
He further noted that the conferment of the SAN title was not only well-deserved but also a reflection of Uwanna’s integrity and track record. “This recognition is both earned and timely. Barr. Uwanna’s dedication to upholding the rule of law has brought about a refreshing shift in the legal landscape of Abia State,” Anyaso stated.
He also lauded the diverse and distinguished turnout at the celebration, observing that the presence of legal minds and dignitaries from across the country was “a testament to the impact and respect Uwanna commands within and beyond the legal profession.”
“The judiciary in Abia has witnessed a remarkable transformation under his watch. His elevation to SAN is not just a personal achievement,it’s a win for justice and for the people,” he added.
The Abuja event drew eminent personalities from Nigeria’s legal community, including the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi, SAN, as well as other senior advocates, judges, and legal luminaries.
