BREAKING: Army Lieutenant Escapes Assassination Attempt In Abuja
Tension in Abuja as Lt. Yarima, the officer who recently clashed with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, reportedly escaped an assassination attempt, according to a Vanguard report.
Military sources revealed that unknown men in two unmarked Hilux vans allegedly trailed him from NIPCO Filling Station down to Gado Nasco Way before the officer executed a strategic escape move.
This comes just days after Yarima confronted Minister Wike at a disputed land site in Gaduwa — an encounter that sparked nationwide outrage and forced the Presidency to halt the demolition.
Veterans across Nigeria have openly backed Lt. Yarima and vowed to occupy the FCT Ministry if anything happens to him.
Meanwhile, the Minister of Defence has assured that no lawful officer will be punished for doing his job.
