Delta State Leaders To Attend 25th NAPHER-SD Conference Focused On Sports, Health, And Economic Development
Delta State Governor, RT. Hon. Sheriff Oborewovori, and Senator Joel-Onowakpa Thomas are set to attend the 25th annual conference and award ceremony of the Nigeria Association for Physical and Health Education, Recreation Sports, and Dance (NAPHER-SD), Delta State branch on Thursday, November 21, at 11 am at Delta State University’s Oleh Campus.
Renowned Speakers and Awardees
Renowned scholars and professors will deliver talks at the conference; the theme of the conference is “Resilience through sports, health and physical education businesses for mitigating economic challenges and promoting national development”. Hon. Uruemu Oghenede-Roy will chair the occasion, which will also honor veteran sports personalities and other notable individuals for their contributions to sports and society.
Commissioners for Higher Education (Professor Nyerhowo Tunukari), Basic and Secondary Education (Mrs. Rose Ezewu), and Primary Education will attend as special guests. Distinguished professors and university dons will also receive recognition.
This prestigious event promises to be an exciting celebration of NAPHER-SD’s 25 years of promoting physical and health education, recreation, and sports in Nigeria. And it will be climaxed with a state election to elect a new executive that will pilot the affair of the Association in the next four years.
