Fashion ways of delivering a successful investment summit Otti charges committee
Abia State Governor Alex Otti, has charged the Steering Committee for Turkey -Abia (TURAB) Investment Summit/Exhibition, 2025 to fashion the ways and means of delivering a successful investment summit and exhibition.
Otti gave the charge while inaugurating an 11-man Steering Committee for Turkey -Abia (TURAB) Investment Summit/Exhibition, 2025 in the Government House Umuahia on Wednesday.
The governor, represented by his Chief of Staff, Pastor Caleb Ajagba, challenged the committee to identify areas of cooperation, foster partnerships and joint venture projects between Abia State, other Nigerian states, and the Turkish investment community.
The Governor urged the committee to leverage the strong diplomatic ties and positive public perception of Turkish businesses and products among Nigerians to facilitate targeted business exchanges between Abia and Turkey.
He emphasized the importance of reinforcing national trust in positioning Abia as a preferred destination for foreign direct investment, industrialization, and commercial activities.
According to the governor, the ongoing transformation across all sectors of the state’s economy reflects his administration’s visionary leadership.
The state chief executive further affirmed that his administration has taken bold steps to create an enabling environment for investment and assured the committee of the government’s full support.
Responding on behalf of the committee, the Chairman and Special Adviser to Abia State Governor on Investment Promotions and Public Private Partnership, High Chief Green Amakwe, expressed gratitude to Gov. Otti for the opportunity to serve.
He noted that the three-day Investment Summit and Exhibition, organized in partnership with Vega Growing Global Enterprises, will take place from November 25–27 at the International Conference Centre, Umuahia. He added that the event aims to explore Abia’s vast investment potential and its advantages as a strategic hub for commerce within and beyond Nigeria.
Chief Amakwe pledged the committee’s commitment to delivering on its mandate.
The full list of the members of the committee include, High Chief Green Amakwe – Chairman, and members – the Commissioner for Trade and Commerce, Mr. Kingsley Chibueze Nwokocha, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Trade and Commerce, Mrs. Jane Igwe, Special Assistant to the Governor on Ease of Doing Business, Agbonma Uka-Obasi, Uzoma Madukairo, Chinedu Chijioke, Pastor John Onyemachi, Prince Eniola Ojajuni, Mr. Cletus Ogbonna, Akpan Udoh, and Mrs. Kelechi Abalogu, who will serve as the committee secretary.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Trade and Investment, Chief Nwaka Inem, among other top government officials were present during the inauguration ceremony.
