Nine Abia Indigenes Honoured by Presidency for Outstanding National Service
In a remarkable show of appreciation for youth contribution to nation-building, the Presidency yesterday hosted a special recognition ceremony at the Presidential Banquet Hall, Aso Rock, to honour exceptional National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members who served between 2020 and 2023.
The event, which recognized 210 exemplary corps members for their impactful Community Development Service (CDS) projects, highlighted their dedication to national development and grassroots transformation.
Representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the ceremony, the Honourable Minister of Labour and Employment, Hon. Barr. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, praised the honorees for their selflessness, innovation, and commitment to service. She urged Nigerian youths to emulate their example in contributing to the country’s progress.
Among the celebrated honorees were nine distinguished indigenes of Abia State, recognized for their outstanding achievements during their service year. They are:

Ezieme Francis Uba
Chimama Promise Anyanwu
