Otti condemns murder of couple in Abia, orders probe

The Governor of Abia State, Alex Otti, has expressed sadness over the tragic news of the beheading of a couple in Bende Local Government Area of the State.
The victims Mr. Jacob Udo and his wife Mrs. Comfort were murdered and dismembered by yet to be identified assailants.
Otti in a statement by his chief press secretary Njuko Ukoha, on Friday said he is personally pained by such criminal and dastardly act and directed the security agencies in the state to thoroughly investigate and bring the culprits to book.
He has also directed government officials to see how the dependants of deceased couple can be assisted in the interim.
The statement read, “On behalf of the government of Abia State I commiserates with the family of the victims and assures that the government is working round the clock to bring the perpetrators of the heinous crime to justice”.
