UNITY AND PEACE OF OBINGWA IS SACROSANCT: A RESPONSE TO CHIEF CHARLES NWANGWAS’ MISADVENTURE
I want to address the allegations made by a few desperate politicians of Obingwa Labour Party regarding what they tagged, “sideline and disrespect of His Excellency”
I believe that effective leadership involves collaboration, active listening, and mutual respect. The Unity meeting was intended to bring back the peace, harmony and unity we are known for as a people. I also restate that my commitment to our Local Council progress and well-being remains unwavering devoid of platitudes. It is therefore hollow and infantile for a few individuals who were privy to the meeting turned around to disparage a thoughtful programme, just to score irrelevant political sentiment.
The conversations at the Unity meeting were constructive, enreaching and non-partisan. It showed the willingness of Obingwa people to work together.
The distractions of Chief Charles Nwangwa and his ilks have been the bane of our retrogressive politics which we are out to correct. I know that it is hard for merchantile politicians to embrace transparency, trust and competency which are the cardinal principles of our dear Governor, Dr Alex Chioma Otti, OFR
It’s unfortunate that those who do not understand the significance of peace and unity have misunderstood the essence of the meeting. Joining the bandwagon of distractors to cause chaos and disharmony in the Party will forever be fruitless as we are doing our best to restore the dignity of our people.
As the current Mayor of Obingwa, I’m grateful to all those who attended the meeting in full capacity and in representation.
It’s pertinent at this juncture to bring to bear that all Obingwa political stalwarts across party lines attended the meeting .
To this end, I wish to solemnly affirm that there is no issues or discrepancies in Obingwa LG labour party. We call for peace, Unity and collaboration among our party members and intended members of the public, as we are committed in making Obingwa great again .
Chief Achi Eric Egwuibe, PhD, FCA
The Mayor, Obingwa LG Council.
