The Abia State Governor-Elect, Dr Alex Otti, OFR, on Friday, March 21, 2023 announced the appointment of a group of prominent Abians as members of his Inauguration Committee
The 75-member committee is led by Hon Iheanacho Obioma, the State Campaign Coordinator of Alex Otti Campaign Organisation.
The Inauguration Committee has eight sub-committees with the following persons as their heads:
1.Chief Mike Akpara as the Head of finance Committee)
2 . Mrs Betty Emeka Obasi( IV &Programme,)
3. Hon. Austin Okezie Meregini (Ugolee) as Head of Venue Committee,
4.Mrs Victoria Onwubiko ( Logistics Committee)
5. Chief Victor Ikeji, Head of Protocol Committee,
6.Mac Donald Uba, Head of Security Committee,
7.Mr. Kazie Uko (Media & Publicity), and
8.Entertainment Committee.
Dr. Otti, while inaugurating the members at the Banquet Hall of his residence in Umuehim, Nvosi, Isialangwa South Local Government Area, urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by organizing a hitch-free, peaceful and befitting events.
Some of the events being planned are the handing over ceremony which will take place at Umuahia Township Stadium on the 29th May 2023; the Banquet at the International Conference Centre (ICC) on evening of the same 29th May, and an Interdenominational Christian Thanksgivinvg Service which is to place at a later date.
