The Annual Beginning of the year Thanksgiving Service of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Abia State Council takes place on Monday (22/1/24).
A release jointly endorsed by the State Council Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Comrade Victor Ndukwe and the Secretary, Comrade Adaeze Ralph Igbokwe puts the venue at NUJ Press Centre No. 66 Aba Road, opposite Golden Guinea Brewery, Umuahia while time is 11am.
According to the release, the Director of Social Communication of the Catholic Diocese of Umuahia, Rev. Fr. Leonard Ehiemere is the Guest Preacher while the member representing Umunneochi State Constituency, Mr Mathias Ume is the Special Guest.
The release enjoines all veterans and practicing Journalists in the state to attend the session to commit the activities of the union in the new year to God.
