Abia NUJ Holds Emergency Congress Thursday
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Abia State Council, will hold an emergency congress on Thursday, October 15, 2026.
According to a notice issued by the Council, the congress will hold at the Press Centre, No. 66 Aba Road, Umuahia, by 2 p.m.
The statement, signed by the Chairman, Comrade Chidi Asonye, and Secretary, Comrade Iyke Onuegbu, said all members, including veterans of the Union, are requested to attend en masse as crucial matters of concern shall be discussed.
It added that the Commissioner for Transport, Abia State, Dr. Chimezie Isaac Ukaegbu, and the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Due Process, Dr. Oluebube A. Chukwu, will be special guests at the congress.
