Blossom Life Foundation Endorses Dr. Chima Anyaso, Withdraws Support from Deputy Speaker
The Blossom Life Foundation has officially endorsed Dr. Chima Anyaso as its sole candidate for Bende Federal Constituency in the 2027 general elections, announcing its decision to withdraw support from the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu.
The delegation was led by the Foundation’s National President, Comrade Edward Israel , who said the organisation had decided to redirect its support to Dr. Chima Anyaso, whom he described as a brother deserving of their collective backing.
Speaking during the endorsement visit, Isreal disclosed that the Foundation would formally communicate its decision to the Deputy Speaker through his Director General, informing him that it had changed its political position and would now work for Dr. Chima Anyaso.
“After the end of today, we will write him through his DG that we have done a U-turn and are going to work for my brother. He deserves to be supported, ” Isrea said.
He reaffirmed the Foundation’s commitment to mobilising support for Anyaso across Bende, declaring that the group had come to officially notify him of their decision.
“We can assure you that in Bende, we will stand by you. It is game over,” he declared.
He added, “We have come here to officially tell you and endorse you as our sole candidate.”
In his response, Dr. Chima Anyaso expressed appreciation for the endorsement, attributing the unfolding political developments to God and expressing confidence in his aspiration to represent the people of Bende Federal Constituency.
“There is nothing that happens without God’s approval. If you are from Bende, it is clear to me, as it is clear to you, that we are winning this election,” Anyaso said.
He pledged to work towards ensuring that the constituency receives the benefits and opportunities due to its people, stressing that his ambition was driven by the desire to represent them honestly.
“Whatever is due to Ndi Bende, I am going to bring it back to our people. What I need from the Federal House is to go and represent our people with honesty,” he stated.
Anyaso also assured the Foundation that its support would not be taken for granted, promising that, with God’s help and the collective efforts of his supporters, they would have no reason to regret their decision.
“With God and your help, if you help us get to this position, you will never regret it,” he assured them.
The Labour Party candidate further explained that his approach to representation informed the preparation of the Bende Prosperity Contract, which he said was developed through consultations with communities across the constituency rather than relying on conventional campaign promises.
“That is why we took our time to prepare a contract with Ndi Bende. This is not your usual manifesto where people copy and paste. We visited all the communities so we could meet them at the point of their needs,” Anyaso said.
The Bende Prosperity Contract, tagged “Walk With Me,” sets out proposed priorities for the constituency, including agriculture, education, healthcare, youth development, infrastructure, enterprise and other areas of community development. It is presented as a framework for accountability and a commitment to responding to the needs identified by the people.
