SUPPORT OTTI FOR A SECOND TERM, EZE LINTO URGES ABIANS IN DIASPORA  

The Chairman, Abia State Council of Traditional Rulers, Eze Linus Nto Mbah (LINTO), has called on Abians in diaspora to support Governor Alex Otti for a second term in office, come 2027.

Eze Linus Nto Mbah made the call on Saturday, in far away, Atlanta, Georgia in the United States of America, at a reception organised in his honour by the Old Bende Progressive Union, Atlanta Chapter.

Eze Mbah, who recalled that the Old Bende Progressive Union held a meeting at Aba recently, after which they visited the Governor in his country home and endorsed him for a scond term in office, also encouraged the Atlanta chapter of the union and other Abians in the diaspora to do the same.

“If you have not come back to Abia for a long time, please come back and see infrastructural development piloted by Governor Alex Otti OFR, CHIOMA NDỊ ABIA.

“His achievements within two years in office is unprecedented. We dont have potholes again in Aba and Umuahia towns, and he has taken the developmental projects to rural areas.

“I plead with you to give His Excellency Governor Alex Otti  support to make up the 8 years tenure of office as the Governor.

“If you come to Abia State today, you will know that it is a new state, Governor Otti is building a new Abia. What he needs is your support and your prayers. He needs the support of Abians wherever they are,” Eze Mbah stated.

He highlighted the achievements of the Governor to include the ongoing construction of Abia Airport, construction of Abia Medical City in Owerrita, retrofitting of 200 Primary Health Centres, renovation of schools and making basic education compulsory with recruitment of over 9,000 new teachers into the scholl system among others.

He equally told them that many road constructions have been done while others are at different levels of completion. He said that roads such as Port Harcourt road Aba, Umuahia – Uzuakoli – Akara – Alayi Abiriba Road have been completed while work is ongoing at the Abiriba-Ohafia road, Ohafia – Arochukwu, Abam – Ndiokereke – Arochukwu road  and the iconic Omenuko bridge which is almost completed among others.

The revered traditional ruler, who is also the Eze Udo of AtaIgboukwu Kingdom in Umuzomgbo – Ihechiowa, Arochukwu LGA, informed them that Governor Otti is achieving these feat. without borrowing a Dime.

He said that since the inception of Governor Alex Otti ‘s government, the traditional rulers’ dignity has been restored with the Abia traditional rulers receiving the highest stpend in the South East.

While thanking the leadership of the Old Bende Progressive Union in Atlanta for hosting him, Eze Linus Nto Mbah used the opportunity to invite Abians in diaspora to visit Abia and see things for themselves as well as invest in the state.

In his speech, the President Abia State  Indigenes in the USA, Atlanta Chapter, Chief Emmanuel Ananaba saluted the Old Bende Progressive Union in Atlanta for hosting HRM Eze Linus Nto Mbah.

He assured that Abians living in Atlanta and of course in the entire USA are in support of tne second term bid of Governor Alex Otti.

Speaking earlier on behalf of the Old Bende Progressive Union, Atlanta Chapter, the President of the union, Chief Christie Obioma and High Chief Nelson said they were thrilled by the media reports they get about Governor Alex Otti’s achievements which have equally been validated by the report given to them by HRM Eze Linus Nto Mbah, a celebrated traditional ruler with honour and candour.

They assured Eze Linus Nto Mbah that they are solidly behind Governor Alex Otti and would support him to be relected for the second term in office. They said they would moblize their people to support the Governor, having seen his projects that have direct impact on Abians in both urban and rural communities.
