Emeka Ndubuisi Bahadur Emerges ADC Consensus Candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia*
Hon. Emeka Ndubuisi Bahadur has emerged as the consensus candidate for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency under the African Democratic Congress ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Bahadur’s selection followed consultations and agreements among party leaders and stakeholders. Supporters described the outcome as a step toward unity and stronger grassroots participation in the constituency.
Speaking on Thursday in Umuahia the state capital after his emergence, Bahadur thanked party leaders, youths, women, and stakeholders for their support and pledged to justify the trust placed in him.
“If given the opportunity to represent Ikwuano/Umuahia at the National Assembly, I will make the constituency and the entire state proud through purposeful, people-oriented representation,” he said.
He also commended the turnout at the event, calling it a “history-making moment” and a sign of the people’s commitment to the constituency’s future.
“What I have seen today makes me proud of the men, women, and youths who came out in their numbers to support this movement,” he told cheering supporters.
The announcement was met with chants and celebrations, with party faithful describing it as the start of a new political chapter for Ikwuano/Umuahia.
