2027: Ogah, Anyaso emerges LP candidate Reps election, pleages quality representation

The member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal constituency Hon. Amaobi Ogah,
has emerged as the Labour Party’s flag bearer for the 2027 general election in the constituency.

Ogah who is chairperson of the House Committee on Infectious diseases in Nigeria said his return ticket reflects a strong grassroots acceptance and proven performance.

Addressing supporters after his endorsement on Saturday Ogah said the renewed mandate showed that his first term had not been wasted and promised to deliver more for his largely rural constituency.

“I was returned as the party’s flag bearer as a result of my performance and because my people have accepted me. I have proven that the mandate they gave me has not been a waste, and I am promising them again that it will never be a waste,” he said.

He outlined ongoing interventions focused on infrastructure and economic empowerment of his constituents.

A Leading politician and businessman, Dr. Chima Anyaso, also emerged as the Labour Party’s flag bearer for Bende Federal Constituency in the 2027 general election.

Speaking shortly after his election in Igbere Secondary school Anyaso, hailed the party faithful for him to represent them, promising that he will not play with the confidence reposed in him.

In the same the member representing Bende North State constituency in the Abia State House of Assembly Hon Nnamdi Ibekwe, was also returned as the standard bearer of the party in 2027.

Speaking shortly after his affirmation Ibekwe promised to offer quality representation for his constituents.

He also highlighted social welfare programmes, noting that over 1,000 widows were supported last year through his individual aid and cooperative funding, and similar empowerment had been extended to youth.

In education, he said an ICT centre with 270 laptops now enables students to sit for WAEC and JAMB locally without traveling out of the constituency.

The lawmaker commended Governor Alex Otti and said Bende North constituents had unanimously called for the governor to continue in office unopposed, describing the support as “unprecedented and unalloyed.”

“By God’s grace, what His Excellency has done and what I have replicated here is unprecedented in the history of representation in the Bende North State Constituency. What we have done is unequalled,” he said.

He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to service under the theme of “Osomachi” – God’s good news – and pledged not to let his constituents down.
