Abia 2027: Leaders, Business Community Purchase Governorship Form for Henry Ikoh

A group of select leaders, industrialists and members of the business community in Abia State have purchased, processed and presented a governorship nomination form to Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh ahead of the 2027 elections.

Ikoh, in a statement expressing gratitude, described the gesture as a strong vote of confidence in his leadership and capacity to serve the state.

“I wish to most heartily appreciate the select leaders, industrialists and businessmen of different engagements and groups for finding me worthy of your confidence and for sacrificing your resources to purchase the form for me to contest for the office of governor of Abia State in the 2027 elections. This is no mean trust and I am not taking it for granted,” he said.

The Former Minister of Science and Technology assured his supporters that their confidence would not be misplaced, pledging to run a campaign anchored on issues rather than political rancour.

“I have accepted your request for me to contest the election and I will make you proud with a robust campaign that will be devoid of rancour and purely issues-based,” Ikoh stated.

The governorship hopeful further emphasized his commitment to party unity and grassroots mobilization, noting that his campaign would focus on galvanizing voters across the state.

According to him, “I will work hard, making God my pillar, to unify the party and effectively galvanize Abia electorates to be excited to vote our party.”

Ikoh also pledged that his campaign would be guided by peace, inclusiveness and a shared sense of purpose, adding that he would work to strengthen cohesion among party leaders across Abia State.

“Peace, harmony and brotherliness shall be the spirit of our campaign, which will be inclusive and driven by unity of purpose. I will humbly, but charismatically, unify party leaders across the state and reassert a bonded party determined to take over Abia Government House come 2027,” he added.
