The Asaga Development Union (ADU) and the good people of Asaga Ohafia in Ohafia Local Government Area Abia state, have commended Governor Alex Otti, for approving the reconstruction of the Asaga-Amuke Road/Ugwu Iyiebi Bridge that was long abandoned.

In a statement jointly signed by ADU President General Chief Okpa Ibekwem Okpa, the Secretary General Barr. Obinna Kalu Onugu and its National Publicity Secretary Comrade Stanley Mba, the Association stated that the efforts of the Otti’s led government in providing the needed road infrastructure linking various communities through the Greater Ohafia Development Authority (GODA) has shown his determination to assist people in rural communities whose businesses have suffered due to bad roads.

The statement read, “We are proud and happy that GODA has commenced the reconstruction of the road and we are full of appreciation.

“Thank you, your Excellency for this show of love to Ndi Asaga and Amuke Ohafia and we assure you of our continuous and undiluted support.

“It is therefore our prayer, that the Almighty God will continue to grant you the Grace, wisdom and the strength to continue your infrastructural development of the state, even as we hope, that your catapilla revolution will be extended to other vital roads in our community to aid the movement of agricultural produce.

“To our son, the Director General of GODA, Elder Engr. Obinna Odum, may God continue to bless and guide you as you serve our dear state Abia.

“Our support remains undiluted and we assure you of our cooperation to ensure the smooth Reconstruction of the road”.
