‘Can anything good come out of the New Abia’? – Yet Otti is performing wonders

For a long while, many had come to terms with the view that nothing positive can come out of Abia as a fallout from poor governance and maladministration.
That Abia became the butt of cruel jokes often depicting under development, poor infrastructure and the constant ridicule of being led by characters who didn’t care about the place or even the people became accepted by all who knew Abia and those who came from the state.
It is therefore not surprising that among the many witnessing the ongoing transformation in God’s own state, some are yet to accept that it is a reality.
They tend to suffer from a hangover brought on by the trauma arising from many years of institutional backwardness from poor leadership shaped by self aggrandizement and thoughtlessness.
The febble attacks coming from certain quarters against the amiable Gov. Alex Otti is not unexpected because the character of ‘low performance’ is to disparage those whose work speaks for them before the people.
These characters are terrified of great achievers who push development frontiers and tread comfortably on territories which has consumed others.
Otti has proved that governance is not rocket science and for those who seek to be in governance, they must be intentional and come prepared – this defines Gov Otti hence his persistence in coming to office since 2014 but thwarted by the same dark forces now seeking to derail the good governance being enjoyed by all in Abia and appreciated by those afar off.
These dark forces working through proxies stationed within the social media space have spewed outright lies and continue to do so against a man who tips the scales across all indicators proving that he came prepared for the job of public service.
The recent feat achieved by Governor Otti in reducing Abias dept burden from an inherited 191 billion naira down to 48 billion within three years – not borrowing a dime since coming to office yet able to achieve so much in infrastructure renewal without owing workers is so shocking to these detractors to the point of driving them insane.
Spitefully choosing not to notice these stellar attainments, these men of no conscience and their proxies filled with bitterness continue their feeble attempts to marlign the person and the work of ‘ChiomaAbia’. They have become willing tools in the hands of vain politicians who were forcefully retired because Otti is delivering the dividends of democracy at an unprecedented rate.
The aforementioned dept were accumulated by past governments and their cronies without any plan for such funds to be deployed for the advancement of the state. Rather the intent of these men and women lacking scruples was to embezzle and then leave Abia with a huge dept profile, stifling infrastructural development and overall progress.
It is not for those who have performed woefully while in office to criticize Gov. Alex Otti particularly in the face of giant strides by Abias amiable number citizen to restore the dignity and quality of life of the average Abian.
Let those who appreciate light and good rise up and echo the name of the governor abroad so that people of good heart can come and perceive the wonders unfolding in God’s Own state.
These seeming loud but empty vessels better learn a lesson not to disturb one who is producing desired results as is the case with Governor Alex Otti – a man who is destined to reverse the misfortune of Abia from the clutch of decay and despondency thereby restoring the dignity of the state.
The restoration has been ongoing for three years now with intensity. The peddle is on full throttle, delivering full speed ahead as stated by ‘ChiomaAbia’ that he was “in a hurry to develop Abia” therefore nothing will command such attention to distract the governor even for one second from his stated goal of advancing the course of Abia across all sectors and strata.
Otti is of course undeterred by “social media tigers” who can only growl in Artificial Intelligence – AI – creations far from realities on ground attested to by the overwhelming majority of the people both at home and abroad.
The recent thank you visit to Gov. Otti by traditional rulers and leaders from Umuneochi local government area in utmost appreciation of the efforts of the state government for liberating the local government from the grip of kidnappers, bandits and other criminals is an open attestation to the reality made possible by Otti.
These realities go beyond some disgruntled elements complaining and pouring libations because a new ‘sheriff’ who believes in and does the right thing is now in charge and will not tolerate the looting of Abias treasury by so-called ‘elders’ who are without shame.
The bottle is taken away from them and like spoilt brats, they complain and throw tantrums on social media! But that’s how far they can go and it doesn’t matter – things must be done properly and so it is under the watch of Dr. Alex Otti – the people’s choice for governor of the Great Abia State.
Our state has turned the corner – we are in a far better place now looking behind at where we came from. We owe God a ton of gratitude for bestowing upon Abia a man for this moment of liberation and restoration. Indeed – cometh the moment, cometh the man.
Abia is on the move to a promised land rooted in vision unveiled by destiny. Abians cannot afford to look back and risk being lost like the Biblical ‘Lots wife’. We have escaped the destruction brought on by maladministration and cruelty. Ottis’ Abia has become a reference point across the country and internationally on what is possible when the heart is committed to do the right thing.
