Eze Aro Charges Arochukwu People To Shun Bad Behaviour At 2nd Coronation Anniversary Kickoff
His Eminence, Eze Dr. Eberechukwu Oji, Eze Aro IX, has charged the people of Arochukwu Kingdom to shun bad behaviour and negative vices capable of denting the image of the kingdom.
The monarch gave the charge on Wednesday during an open-air crusade to kick off activities marking his Second Coronation Anniversary at Aggrey Primary School Field, Ibom Arochukwu.
Speaking at the event, Eze Aro the 9th said it would be a shame for any son or daughter of Arochukwu to be found among those bringing dishonour to the state or country.
“It will not be good to find any Aro son or daughter among those dishonouring the state or the country,” he stated.
The Eze Aro recalled the testimony of the late Pastor Uma Ukpai, who dedicated the Royal Stool to God at the inception of his reign.
“What was meant for evil turned around for good, as the late Pastor Uma Ukpai testified to the greatness of the Kingdom*,” he said.
While commending Abia State Governor Alex Otti, for his infrastructural strides, the Eze Aro lauded the construction of roads, rehabilitation of the long-neglected General Hospital, and other development projects across the state.
He noted that since Governor Otti is “a son of the soil” who has delivered on his mandate, the people must support him to ensure that the work progresses swiftly and seamlessly.
He further assured the people of God’s faithfulness.
“God never abandons His people, especially when they are doing the right thing,” he added.
In his sermon, Pastor John Ajibowo prayed that the light of God would envelop the kingdom.
“As good things have begun in the Kingdom, the Kingdom will become God’s Kingdom, bringing progress and never retrogression, while His light continues to shine upon families,” he prayed.
Also speaking, Pastor Sunny Wogu urged the people to have faith in prayer, describing faith as “the only way to receive answers to prayer”
He charged them to pray for their leaders “as that is the best way to ensure they think and work for the people.”
Mrs. Gloria Egbu Okoro, wife of Eze Ibom Isii, prayed for the children of Arochukwu Kingdom, asking that they “will never suffer condemnation but instead experience elevation and excellence in all they do.”
Dignitayries present included Eze Ibom Isii, HRH Mazi Amos Ngwu Egbu Okoro; Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, Barr. Uche Uba Okoro; Captain Okey Imuoh; Apostle Joe Paul; Pastor Salvation Oziri; Rev. Kanu James, and other notable figures.
The highlight of the event was ministration by Brother Elechi Christian and the distribution of food items to all attendees.
