Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Resolutions in Enugu
The Ndigbo Intellectuals Development Organisation, has maintained that the ban on Ezeigbo title ban outside the Igbo land will help in preserving the cultural integrity and traditional governance of the Igbo race.
NIDO in a statement by its Director of Communication Afulike Christian Don Ph.D on Monday, stated that the ban will help to de-escalate the growing crises over the problems created by the Eze Ndigbo titles in host communities of Igbos worldwide.
Afulike, stated that the decision was part of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Resolutions and Initiatives during the just concluded Imeobi meeting held at Ohaneze Secretariat, Enugu, Nigeria.
He added that NIDO expressed strong support for Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide’s recent resolutions, reaffirming commitment to Igbo unity and advancement during meeting.
The statement read, “NIDO noted some key highlights of the meeting which includes adoption of 2026 Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide Constitution that can ensure dynamic governance and responsiveness to contemporary challenges.
“NIDO further expressed her support for Alaigbo Stabilization Fund, which will definitely encourage operationalization of companies for economic empowerment.
“NIDO also commends Prof. Kingsley Moghalu’s Ohanaeze Committee on Igbo Charter of Strategic Engagement for National Development for laying groundwork and structured model for Igbo people’s national narrative and strategic partnerships.
“Together as an affiliate and partner, these initiatives symbolize the collective aspirations for unity, progress, and Alaigbo’s sustained development.
“NIDO stands ready to collaborate as always with Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide towards the actualization of our common goals.”
