‎Traditional Medicine Group Warns Against Fraudulent Use of Name to lobby for Government Appointments

The legal representatives of Okon-Aku Traditional Herbs and Roots, a prominent traditional medicine association based in Ohafia, have issued a formal warning against the unauthorized use of the association’s name in pursuit of government appointments and influence.

‎In a statement released by the solicitors acting on behalf of the group, the association distanced itself from any individual or group allegedly making representations to government offices or agencies under its name.

‎“It has come to the attention of our client that certain individuals have been using the name of the association without proper authority, with the aim of lobbying for the position of Chairman, Abia State Traditional Medicine Association,” the legal notice stated.

‎The solicitors emphasized that no person has been authorized by the group to use its name for such purposes. They urged all government offices, agencies, and concerned parties to exercise caution and verify any claims made on behalf of the association.

‎“All solicitations or representations must be accompanied by an official letter from the association’s secretariat or duly authorized officers. Any activity done in our client’s name without such authorization is fraudulent and will be dealt with accordingly, including the possibility of legal action,” the statement warned.

‎The association also strongly disclaimed any involvement or connection with the individuals or groups behind such unauthorized actions, reaffirming its commitment to integrity and proper procedure.
