Management of Federal University, Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has suspended two students of the institution with immediate effect for allegedly cyberbulling an embattled students’ Union leader, James Iyanuoluwa Adio.
The two suspended students- Alao Iyanuoluwa Odunayo and Olawale Abiodun Samuel were said to have consipred to cyberbully Adio by posting his private affairs online for Adio’s inability to meet their financial demands.
In a release signed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration), Prof. Tajudeen Opoola, who is the Acting Vice Chancellor, the management frowned at the involvement of the two students in denting the image of the university.
While investigation into the matter continues, the management ordered the two students to immediately proceed on suspension, pointing out that university is poised to purge the institution of all behaviour capable of denting the image of FUOYE.
