2027: Labour Party Ward Chairmen in Bende Assure Dr. Chima Anyaso of Massive Grassroots Support
“As Anyaso Vows to Carry Party Along, Says Structures Must Outlive 2027”
The leadership of the Labour Party at the ward level in Bende Federal Constituency has assured the party’s candidate for the 2027 House of Representatives election, Dr. Chima Anyaso, of massive grassroots support as the campaign continues to strengthen its structures across the constituency.
The assurance was given on Thursday during a meeting between Dr. Chima Anyaso and Labour Party ward Chairmen at his country home in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area.
Speaking during the meeting, the Chairman of the Council (COC)of Ward Chairmen and Labour Party Chairman of Item Ward B Pastor Thomas Ukonu expressed the commitment of the ward chairmen to working with Dr. Chima Anyaso and mobilising support for the Labour Party candidate across the constituency.
He said the ward structures remained critical to the success of the party at the grassroots, stressing the importance of maintaining strong communication and cooperation between the candidate, party leadership and ward executives.
Responding, Dr. Chima Anyaso assured the ward chairmen that he would not abandon the Labour Party after the 2027 election, emphasising that his relationship with the party was not limited to the electoral contest.
Dr. Chima Anyaso said he had already begun putting modalities in place to ensure that the Labour Party structure in Bende remains strong and sustainable beyond 2027.
According to him, his vision is to build a political structure that will continue to provide opportunities for members and remain relevant even after the election cycle.
He further assured the ward leaders that they would continue to be carried along in his political engagements, noting that the strength of any political organisation depends largely on the active participation and commitment of its grassroots structures.
The meeting formed part of Dr. Chima Anyaso’s ongoing engagements with Labour Party leaders and campaign structures across Bende Federal Constituency as preparations for the 2027 election continue.
