2027: We didn’t endorse Sen Orji Kalu, says Isuikwuato Traditional Rulers Counci

The Isuikwuato Local Government Traditional Rulers Advisory Council has disowned a report circulating on social media purporting that the Council endorsed Senator Orji Uzor Kalu.
In a disclaimer issued on Saturday, the Council described the report as false, misleading and fabricated.
The statement, signed by the Council’s Public Relations Officer, HRH Eze Engr. Okey A. Udeh, said the Council at no time, in any meeting or forum, endorsed Senator Kalu for any political office or interest.
“The attention of the Isuikwuato Traditional Rulers Advisory Council has been drawn to a false and misleading report circulating on social media and other platforms, claiming that the Council has endorsed Senator Orji Uzor Kalu,” the statement said.
“We wish to state categorically and unequivocally that at no time, in any meeting, gathering, or forum, did the Council endorse Senator Orji Uzor Kalu for any political office or interest. No authorization was given to any person or group to issue such endorsement on behalf of the Council,” it added.
The Council stated that the publication is a lie and a misrepresentation of the revered traditional institution of Isuikwuato, stressing that it must be refuted in its entirety.
It reiterated that the Traditional Rulers Advisory Council remains non-partisan and father to all, and does not engage in partisan endorsement of any politician or political party.
“The public is hereby advised to disregard the fake news and treat it as the handiwork of mischief makers seeking to drag our respected traditional institution into partisan politics,” the Council said.
It urged media practitioners to always verify information from the Council before publication.
