Abia Deputy Mayors’ Forum elects leaders
Deputy Mayors’ in Abia State has elected Hon. Destiny Chikwurah Isiguzo, Deputy Mayor Obingwa Local Government Area as it chairman.
His election was part of a meeting the forum held in Umuahia the state capital one Monday.
A statement by the forum stated that election of its executive members, marks a new chapter in collaborative governance and a significant development for Local Government administration in Abia State.
Other executives members of the forum include the Deputy Chairman – Hon. Mrs Ngozi Anya (Bende LGA), Secretary – Hon. Barr. Enyinnaya Nwosu (Umuahia South),
Public Relations Officer – Hon. Lucky Awuwa (Ikwuano LGA).
The rest are the Financial Secretary – Hon. Ifeanyi Njoko (Isiukwuato LGA) and Treasurer – Hon. Vivian Obilor (Isiala Ngwa South LGA)
The statement reads “This leadership team is poised to harness the collective expertise and experience of deputy mayors across Abia State, driving initiatives that enhance citizen welfare and promote local development.
The Deputy Mayors’ Forum serves as a vital platform for sharing innovative ideas, addressing shared challenges, and fostering cooperation to improve lives across the state. With this leadership in place, the forum is set to make meaningful impacts in Abia State’s governance landscape.
