Abia Govt. vows to ensure women’s inclusion into key political offices, says Mrs Otti

Wife of the Governor of Abia State, Mrs Pricilia Otti has assured Abia women of government’s commitment towards their inclusion into key Political and Administrative positions in the state and Beyond.

She made this known during the August Meeting & Award Presentation organized by Amurie Nkporo Development Union (ANDU) Women’s wing.

The First Lady, represented by Mrs Adaeze Emetu, Wife of the Deputy Governor of Abia State reaffirmed the commitment of Dr. Alex Otti’s led administration to collaborating with Abia women in an open door policy towards the growth and development of God’s Own State.

She explained that with the appointment of women as Commissioners of Health, Agriculture, Education, Women Affairs, Chief Judge and Head Of Service, it is therefore undisputed that the current administration is indeed gender sensitive.

Highlight of the occasion was an Award of Excellence presented to Mrs Pricilia Otti for her immense contribution towards the welfare of Abia Women, and a match pass parade by various ANDU branches.

The President General ANDU Women’s wing, Princess Roseline Eke Mark Ude in her remarks thanked Her Excellencies for honouring their invitation and expressed gratitude to the State Government ably led by His Excellency, Dr. Alex Otti OFR, for his giant strides within few months in office; ensuring prompt payment of workers’ salaries, rehabilitation of some of the abandoned roads in the State especially in Aba, renovation of hospitals and organization of free medical services among others.

She pledged the unalloyed support of the association in all capacity towards the success of the new Abia.
