A group known as Dr. Alex Otti support group (Abia for good governornce) has announced plans to hold solidarity prayer/Victory rally for Governor Alex Otti, over his Victory at the supreme court.
Addressing Journalists in Umuahia the Abia State capital, the Executive secretary and founder of the group Barr. KMI Chile, said the rally will hold on January 25 at the premises of Abia state Polytechnic Aba by 11 am, while the second edition will hold in Umuahia the state capital on February 1.
Chile pointed out that the group had identified with Gov. Otti, during the electioneering campaign because of his dreams and vision for good governance and infrastructural development in the state.
According to him, “Our decision to support the governor during the campaign was based on the fact that we were looking for a man who can help us to achieve our quest for good governornce.
“Now that the governor has won the election and the series of legal battles including the supreme Court, as partners in progress we want as watch dogs in our different cities to ensure that nobody will sabotage the efforts of the governor to reposition the state.
“The prayer rally we are planning to hold was initially planned to pray for him to win the supreme Court, before God gave him the victory earlier than we expected, that’s why we are organizing solidarity prayer/Victory rally”.
Also Chief Christopher okonkwo, the chairman of the rally planning committee, Comrd Unukwe Wisdom, the Secretary Ariaria international market and other members of the planning committee, commended the governor for his good jobs in the state, adding that they will provide all the support needed for the Governor to succeed.
Other members of the group during the interaction were Chief Gift Kingsley Obia and the Treasurer
Mrs Gift Ogbonna.
