Isuikwuato Stakeholders Endorses Gov. Otti for Second Term, Hails Infrastructural Drive
The people of Isuikwuato Local Government Area on Thursday hosted Governor Alex Otti to a grand civic reception and unanimously endorsed him for a second term, citing his impact on infrastructure and healthcare across Abia North.

The event at Isuikwuato Secondary School field followed the commissioning of seven roads, including the Eluama–Nunya road, and two primary healthcare centres executed by the Otti administration across the senatorial district.
Executive Mayor of Isuikwuato, Hon. Chinedu Ekeke, said the new roads had transformed the area and justified the support given to the Governor.
He assured Otti of the people’s backing for another term to sustain the developmental momentum.

Chairman of the occasion, Gen. Ike Nwachukwu (Rtd), commended the Governor’s performance and said Isuikwuato was prepared to support his re-election.
Former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika (Rtd), also pledged full support, noting that the administration’s impact “will remain significant for generations”.
Former Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Hon. Uchechukwu Ogah, praised Otti’s leadership style, saying visible projects across the state had reassured him despite his recent suspension from the APC.
“Governance is not rocket science. If Abia had experienced this level of leadership over the past 24 years, the state would have been far more developed,” Ogah said.
Member representing Isuikwuato/Umunneochi Federal Constituency, Hon. Amobi Ogah, reaffirmed the constituency’s support, expressing confidence that the Governor’s track record would strengthen public backing. Similar pledges came from Labour Party Stakeholders Chairman Sir Ken Ahia (SAN), Attorney-General Barr. Ikechukwu Uwanna, and Isuikwuato State Constituency member Hon. Lucky Johnson.
Responding, Governor Otti thanked the people for the reception and pledged to sustain infrastructure development.
He announced plans to construct the Acha–Afikpo road up to the state boundary to boost movement and economic activity.
He also said the government would continue to honour Abians of integrity, citing the naming of the new bus terminal after Prof. Nnenna Oti, Returning Officer for the 2023 governorship election. Otti added that the state would celebrate Gen. Nwachukwu on his 86th birthday.
