The Provost of Madonna college of Health Technology,Olokoro Umuahia,Rev Father Dr Christian Anokwuru, has said that it is the desire of the college to produce World class health professionals that would compete favourably anywhere they find themselves in the world.

The Provost stated this during the second matriculation ceremony where 186 students were formally admitted into the college.

He added,”I had greatly look forward to this day, of officially admitting you into the Madonna College of Health Technology (MACOHTECH). In line with the vision of the school, it has always been my dream to nurture and produce world-class health professionals who are disciplined, competent, and can effectively compete with their contemporaries anywhere in the world.

“It is our collective desire as an institution to raise students who are first among equals; students who are the most preferred, self-reliant, and a force to reckon with. We want to raise students who will be active participants in making significant contributions to the society, from Olokoro to the world at large.”

“We are continually focused in the pursuit of excellence and ethical service, which begins from your learning here. We pay premium attention to your character formation as a Catholic institution and we are committed to rewarding hard work and excellence among our staff and students.

“It might interest you to know that we give awards every term to the best performing students in every class and have a structure to retain the best graduating students from every department, especially those who graduate with distinctions”.

He admonished the newly matriculating students on the need to succeed which he said will require consistency at lectures, diligence in all academic tasks and assignments, positive association, and the avoidance of all negative behaviour, association, or activities that may endanger or distract you from achieving your goal.
