Our Account Was Not Frozen, Mischief Makers and Propagandists Should Leave Us Alone-ABSU

The management of Abia state University Uturu (ABSU) has distanced itself from the false claim that its Account has been frozen by Abia State Government.

In a strong-worded press statement signed by the Registrar on behalf of the University, it dismissed the report as untrue and described the opposition behind it as Nefarious Agents of Retrogression and Destabilisation, and enjoined the public to ignore them.

Describing the state Governor Dr. Alex Otti as a Cerebral and Experienced technocrat, the University called for support for the Governor and his team of experts to enable them deliver on their mandate.

It would be recalled that a few days ago, some propagandists working for the opposition PDP in Abia State falsely alleged that the Bank Account of the University has been frozen by Abia State Government and that there was plot to remove the Vice Chancellor.

Many icommentators expressed sadness that the defeated opposition PDP and their embattled leaders were trying to mess up the name of the revered institution the way they did during PDP’s years in government and cautioned against dragging the name of the institution to the mud in the name of politics.
